Sid Architecture

 Sid can be viewed as three  sections:

  • The FrontEnd includes the components that control the interaction between the end user and the Sid UI.    
  • The Sid Middleware includes the components that interact with and control the Kubernetes backend. 
  • The Backend acts as a datacenter for user jobs. 

 

The Sid Middleware includes the components hosted in Heroku which interact with and manage the interaction with the Backend.  

This includes Launching Jobs, controlling Jobs, and loggin Logging

The Back End includes everything in the Amazon box. 

This is the BackEnd stack on AWS.  The blue layers, built once, represent the low level platform.  The backend Kubernetes stack represented in green, is the chassis of the operating platform.
