Selected General Awards

2019 United States Citizenship & Immigration Service Alien of Extraordinary Ability Designation. Selection criteria: "Demonstration of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics through sustained national or international acclaim."

2011 Australian Leadership Awardee. Selection criteria: "Awards are offered each year to recognize outstanding new-generation leaders for their achievements and to contribution to a vision for Australia's future. Recipients must be between 25 and 40 years of age; have 5-15 years of outstanding professional work experience and a clear indication of playing a substantial leadership role for the rest of his or her career; demonstrate that they occupy positions of responsibility or are recognized as leaders in their field; demonstrate an ability to promote economically, socially or culturally important issues; and demonstrate a clear ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to their peers."

2007 Young Australian of the Year Finalist. Selection criteria: "The Young Australian of the Year Award recognizes those aged 16 to 30 who are outstanding and exceptional young Australians. The Young Australian of the Year has been awarded by the Australian Government since 1979."

2006 Consensus Award for ICT Community Contribution Recipient. Selection criteria: "The award is given to an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident who has achieved a significant career or result in the area of social enterprise."

 

Selected Professional Society Awards

2018 Australian Computer Society Senior Membership Election. Selection criteria: "The National Regulations (NR 2.2.2) provides that a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society is a person who has performed at a senior level as an ICT professional and meets the requirements set out in the National Regulations. To be eligible for admission, a person must: have been in professional practice for at least 10 years, and have been in a Senior ICT Manager position for the 5 years prior to the time of application"

2017 Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Senior Membership Election. Selection criteria: “IEEE Bylaw I-104.3 sets forth the criteria for elevation to Senior Member grade as follows: a candidate shall be an engineer, scientist, educator, technical executive or originator in IEEE-designated fields; candidates shall have been in professional practice for at least 10 years; candidates shall have shown significant performance over a period of at least 5 of those years”

 

Selected Academic Awards

2014 Robert Gordon Menzies Scholarship to Harvard Recipient. Selection criteria: "The Robert Gordon Menzies Scholarships to Harvard are Australia's most prestigious national awards for postgraduate study in the United States. Inaugurated in 1967 by prominent Australian alumni of Harvard to honor the Australian statesman and former Prime Minister, the Menzies Scholarship grants at least one annual award to talented Australians who have gained admission to a Harvard Graduate School" 

2003 Information Technology Co-operative Scholarship Recipient. Selection criteria: "Applicants for the Bachelor of Information Technology are selected on a combination of Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, written application and interview. The program receives many hundreds of applications for around 25 places."
