Ongoing Research: 

  • Primary Research Project: Survey of figurines and upcoming household excavations at Los Guachimontones, Jalisco, Mexico to better understand gender roles and the spatial distribution of gendered activities
  • Secondary Projects: 
    • Ceramic analysis at Los Guachimontones, with emphasis on developing a dating sequence
    • 3D Scanning and reconstruction of large figurine fragments at Los Guachimontones 
    • 3D Scanning of anthropomorphic incense burners and other large ceramics from a royal tomb at Copan, Honduras
    • Research on great female figures of Central American history and archaeology for development into a course and/or book
