A native speaker of Russian, Kate Kerov is a Founder, Director and instructor of the Russian Language and Art Alma-Mater Studio for heritage speakers in Lexington, MA. She has ten years of experience in teaching Russian to high school students and seven years of experience in directing Russian children’s theater. She received her M.A. from St. Petersburg State Theater Academy, Russia. In 2016, she was a participant of STARTALK Teacher Professional Development Program Discover Russian in Washington, DC, and attended Professional Development Seminar for Teachers of Russian (AP Russian) organized by American Councils in Washington DC. In the summer of 2017, Ms. Kerov successfully ran the Theater Project at STARTALK: Bridges to Russia at Harvard University Program.
