Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Mississippi.

My research investigates the relationship between political elites and the American public using observational, survey, and experimental data. In some of my ongoing projects, I examine how elected representatives politicize the American judiciary, study accountability in American elections, develop new ways of measuring public attitudes toward how judges behave, and assess how and why Americans value descriptive representation. My research has been published in the British Journal of Political Science, Political Science Research and Methods, Political Behavior, and Presidential Studies Quarterly.

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University in 2021. I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science in 2014. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis.

In my spare time, I enjoy running, spending time outdoors, traveling (pictured, Lake Sevan, Armenia), and watching college football and basketball.
