Discussion and meet & greet with Megan Epler Wood, author of Sustainable Tourism on a Finite Planet. Topics covered include skills, tools, and investment strategies required to protect global resources in the tourism sector. Peter Clavelle, Former Mayor of Burlington, Vermont will introduce the author and moderate the Q&A session. Epler Wood will discuss how Vermont's locally driven economy is a model for international tourism development and the perils of the rapid growth of tourism in destinations worldwide.
