About Me

I teach and study twentieth-century literature, with a special interest in postcolonial studies, the global Cold War, and modern South Asia. I earned my PhD in English from the University of Pennsylvania.

My writing has appeared or is forthcoming in South Asia, Safundi, The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. I'm currently completing a book manuscript, The Decades of Disillusionment, on modern Indian literature in Hindi and English.

In Fall 2021, I will be teaching an HL90 seminar on 'The Global South Asian Diaspora'. In the past, I've taught classes on dystopian science fiction, British modernism, modern South Asian literature, and Indian cinema.
