Verlan Lewis is a political scientist whose research, teaching, and writing focuses on how political ideas and institutions interact over time. His work has been published in a variety of outlets, including The Washington Post, The Hill, Political Science Quarterly, Party Politics, Studies in American Political Development, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and Cambridge University Press. His forthcoming book, with Hyrum Lewis, is on The Rise of Left and Right in American Politics, and will be published by Oxford University Press.
