After the Dragon: Asias/Africas in NYC

After the Dragon Series Poster

This fall, join us for a series of conversations with junior scholars, artists, and activists about Asian and Black cultures and solidarities set around New York City. In the spirit of collaborative ethnography, our conversations on Chinese diasporic foodways and "fusion" cuisine, Black people and Black culture in China, Asian street style, Afro Asian sound and dance cultures, and African American kung fu practices will highlight the importance of localized, ethnographic approaches to research.

This series is co-organized by Harvard Anthropology PhD candidates Maya Singhal and Veronica Peterson and supported by the Harvard University Asia Center, the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, and the Department of Anthropology.
