I am the Librarian for Cartographic Collections and Learning at the Harvard Map Collection. At the Map Collection, I am excited to help scholars and teachers incorporate maps and our collection in their teaching and research. You can see what I'm up to at the Map Collection on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
I am broadly interested in material culture and the stories we can tell with the interactions between people and objects. I have published articles in this vein on maps made for students with blindness and low-vision in the nineteenth century in the Winterthur Portfolio and on race and Greek typos in Common-place.
With Sari Altschuler, I am co-director of Touch This Page! Making Sense of the Ways We Read (website coming soon), a multi-site exhibition that brings together 3D printing, diasbility history, and multisensory experiences of reading.
