Job Description (I):

Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the Center for Nanomedicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Position#1: Nanoparticle-based Protein Corona Technology for Disease Detection
The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team and work on the research projects associated with nanoparticle-based protein corona technology for disease detection.

Requirements:
• PhD or equivalent degree in biology, polymer chemistry, materials science, engineering, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a closely related discipline
• Strong skills in nanoparticle protein corona assays and proteomics
• Experience with the algorithm is considered as a plus
• High-quality first author publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Strong work ethics and self-motivation

Position#2: Tissue Engineering and Bone Regeneration
The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team and work on the research projects associated with mesenchymal stem cells, orthopedic trauma, tissue engineering, and bone regeneration.

Requirements:
• PhD or equivalent degree in biology, polymer chemistry, materials science, engineering, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a closely related discipline
• Strong skills in tissue engineering and bone regeneration
• Experience with mesenchymal stem cells and orthopedic trauma is considered as a plus
• High-quality first author publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Strong work ethics and self-motivation

Self-Funded Visiting Postdocs/Students

Source of funding should also be clearly stated and only applicants who aim to visit for more than 6 months (ideally 1-2 year) will be considered. Candidates with a background in materials science, polymer chemistry, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cell biology, RNA therapeutics, immunology, pharmaceutical science, tissue engineering, nano-bio interface, or immunoengineering are preferred.
