About me
I am a Biomedical Engineer - Programmer Analyst II in the Functional Neuroimaging Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Before moving to BWH, I was a scientific programmer in the Quantitative Tumor Imaging at Martinos (QTIM) lab, Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, at Massachusetts General Hospital. Before that, I was a data analyst/application developer in the Section for Biomedical Image Analysis (SBIA), the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA) at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University. I did my biomedical intern with Harvard Apparatus Regenerative Technology, Inc.(Now Biostage) and Master research in the Diffuse Optical Imaging of Tissue - DOIT Lab, at Tufts University.
My interests mainly focus on
-
Biomedical Imaging (MR, PET, CT and Optical Imaging)
- Developing new imaging biomarkers for drug delivery and treatment evaluation using advanced MR imaging (DW,DSC, DCE).
- Quantifying cell abnormality using advanced medical imaging including MR, PET, CT and Optical Imaging.
- Biomedical optics, specifically in multimodal integration of diffuse near-infrared spectroscopy and fMRI for non-invasive functional imaging of the brain.
-
Data Science (Large-Scale Multi-Site clinical images analysis and its translational applications)
- Developing open-source bioinformatic software (image registration, tissue segmentation, statistical analysis and pattern recognition) for novel diagnostics and personalized treatment of brain injury, neurological diseases and psychiatric disorders.
- Applying advanced computational and analytical techniques to quantify morphology and function from biomedical images and relating phenotypes to genetic and molecular characterizations.
- Providing customized image processing and data analysis solutions for different disease patterns classification and the early onset of diseases detection (neurodegenerative, neuropsychiatric, oncological, metabolic and genetic diseases).
- Studying brain network by using and developing tools from network science and complex systems theory.
