Yu-Han Chiu (https://hanchiu.github.io/chiulab/) is an Assistant Professor in the Divsion of Epidemiology at the Penn State College of Medicine. Prior to joining Penn State, she was a postdoctoral fellow and research scientist at CAUSALab. She obtained her MD from the National Taiwan University and Sc.D. from the Departments of Nutrition and Epidemiology at Harvard. Her research has focused on the development and application of novel causal inference methods, including emulating target trials to study treatment safety and lifestyle strategies using large longitudinal data. She also works on methods for synthesizing evidence from multiple data sources as well as transportability and generalizability. She has been awarded an American Heart Association Fellowship.
