Operating Room Team Training with Simulation

Funded by the CRICO Risk Management Foundation, this is a team training program using high fidelity simulation to teach 75 full operating room teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses in use of crisis checklist, assertiveness, and closed loop communication. This is the platform for several completed and ongoing research investigations on the role of closed loop communication, interprofessional colaboration, and non-techncial skills on process measures and outcomes in simulated surgical crises.
