About
Zheyu is currently a graduate student in the Engineering Sciences program at Harvard Unversity. Prior to Harvard, he received his bachelor degree with High Honors from the University of Toronto in Canada. During his fourth year, he interned at iPhone Hardware team at Apple, where he worked extensively on iPhone 7/7 Plus/X projects. Zheyu is not only familiar with consumer electronics product development but also interested in the software design and design analytics area. This unique background allows him to look at new problems both from a hardware and software perspective.

Selected Research Experience
Distributed FPGA Implementation of Boltzmann Machine for Combinatorial Optimization Problem
• Designed the overall hardware system architecture consisting of four DE1-SoC boards, five Ethernet cables and a host
• Designed, implemented and tested the distributed simulated annealing algorithm on the system. Expanded the neural network by 4x and reduced the computational time to 70%. Implemented front-end interface for user interaction.
Power Management for Wireless Sensor Node
• Designed the schematic and layout of a 4-layer PCB prototype of Wireless Sensor Nodes from scratch to characterize the performance of a power management integrated circuit. Programmed the microcontroller in C to allow wireless transmission of data
• Presented at the poster session of Undergraduate Engineering Research Day (UnERD)
