Huo Da (Current Postdoc)

Dr. Da Huo is investigating the temporal and spatial patterns of global green house gases emissions using carbon emission accounting, remote sensing and GIS techniques. He is a member of the Carbon Monitor team, and the main developer of the Carbon Monitor-Cities dataset.

Da holds a PhD in geography from Texas A&M University, his doctoral research focuses on understanding climate-glacier sensitivity through numerical modeling.  He has also worked at the Center for Geospatial Sciences, Applications and Technology at Texas A&M University where he developed data processing and geospatial applications to support the carbon sequestration and bioenergy crop imaging projects funded by the Department of Energy.  He is also studying the application of artificial intelligence and life cycle assessment in low-carbon transportation systems.
