Applications are invited for a Senior Research Associate to conduct research in environmental input-output modelling and its applications to climate change mitigation and adaptation, working with Professor Dabo Guan and responsible for delivering research outputs for two projects: 1) the EU-China project on ‘Dynamics of Green Growth in European and Chinese Cities (DRAGON); and 2) EU Framework 7: “Bottom-up Climate Adaptation Strategies towards a Sustainable Europe (BASE).

Extensive experience in input-output modelling is essential. Fluency in speaking and writing in both English and Chinese are essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail, a flexible attitude and you must enjoy working as part of a team. You will be expected to have extensive travelling among partnering countries within the EU and internationally

You must have a PhD in ecological/environmental economics or related field (or be near to completion) and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria detailed in the person specification for the post.

The post is available from 5 May 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a full-time basis for a fixed term period of 23 months.
