I grew up in the remote Arctic village of Noorvik, Alaska to two public school teachers, Mike and Leslie Zibell. I have always been passionate about literature, student organizing, and education, and I served on the central committee of the Alaska Association of Student Governments and on the State Board of Education and Early Development. Since getting to Harvard, I've dedicated my time to student organizing through the Graduate Student's Union and briefly through the Undergraduate Council.
