My research focuses on the evolutionary history of freshwater invertebrates. My main research interests relate to speciation processes, systematics, phylogeography, species delimitation and taxonomy and how certain aspects of a species’ life history affect the underlying evolutionary mechanism. I am working with various crustaceans (especially of the branchiopod taxon Spinicaudata) and the freshwater hydrozoan Hydra.
