Alin completed the Professional Graduate Certificate in International Security in 2023. Alin Florea was a graduate student in the Government Program with the Harvard University Extension School (HES), with coursework in the Government and International Security subject areas.

Alin completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2021 from the Quantic School of Business and Technology (Washington D.C.). Alin earned a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Alberta in 2018.

He also completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in Occupational and Environmental Health, and prior to that a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Sociology; both from the University of Alberta.

Alin has professional work experience in diverse roles with the Governments of Alberta and British Columbia, in regulatory compliance (occupational health, employment standards, human rights, information privacy, investigations, and human resources).
