Jennifer Candipan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University and a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate at the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Southern California in 2019. Her research lies at the intersection of urban sociology, social stratification, and the sociology of education. Her work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the NAEd/Spencer Foundation. She was one of six recipients of a 2019 USC Ph.D. Achievement Award, the university's highest distinction for Ph.D. students. Beginning Spring of 2021, she will join Brown University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology.
