Coming from a background in Psychology, I obtained my PhD in Neuroscience in 2018 at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) at the Department of Systems Neuroscience in Germany. During my research in Hamburg, I used fMRI and Bayesian integration approaches to better understand and predict inter-individual differences in pain processing in the human brain and body. Currently, I am working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging (MGH/HMS, Boston, MA). For our hyperscan-fMRI project in the Napadow-lab, I will investigate the influence and underlying neural mechanisms of the therapeutic alliance and social relationship between pain patients and clinicians scanning both simultaneously during treatment sessions.
