Michele is a PhD Candidate in Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (graduating May 2020) seeking to apply her quantitative background and leadership skills towards problems in climate and sustainability. Michele leads a statistical consulting center, thrives in interdisciplinary settings, and has product management experience from her time at Applied Predictive Technologies where she coordinated teams of software engineers and worked closely with business consultants. Her research focuses on the effects of air pollution on the genome as well as optimal experimental design methods for discovery of gene networks. As a student ambassador to the Harvard Center for Climate, Health and the Global Environment (C-CHANGE) she raises the visibility of climate-related research gaps at Harvard and is coordinating with the Office of Career Services to host a climate and sustainability career fair at Harvard.
