Keerthana is a freshman at Duke University. She is passionate about the field of teenage mental health and is doing research with a goal to reduce the number of teen suicides. She would like to pursue a career in public health and wants to use her time serving the community. Additionally, her interest in this field has shaped her passion for research, social justice, and health policy in both domestic and global spheres. On campus, Keerthana is involved in student government, and research labs. She was an intern at the Swedish Medical hospital, president of the Chemistry club, and drives several efforts related to mental health. In her free time, Keerthana enjoys doing nonprofit work, watching movies, and baking.
