Data and Code Sharing for Open Science, at Computer Science Department Seminar, EPFL, Switzerland, Wednesday, October 16, 2019:
A critical element of Open Science is open access to research data and code. Successful implementation of widely used solutions for sharing open data must combine technology, standards, and incentives. For the last 15 years, the Dataverse project has focused on these three aspects to enhance research data sharing and enable access to tens of thousands of research datasets around the word. Currently, the Dataverse project is working to add two crucial components to continue supporting open science: 1) sharing code associated with the data and... New Reproducibility Workflows with Dataverse: A path for social science journals to increase transparency and rigor in research, at APSA Conference, Washington DC, Wednesday, August 28, 2019:

This presentation is part of the Data-PASS pre-APSA workshop on "Wishlists and Workflows: Integrating Research Transparency into Editorial and Publishing Processes".

The talk first reviews the adoption of data policies in social science journals and recent recommendations on reproducibility. It then provides a summary of new reproducibility support currently being implemented for the Dataverse repository software platform. In particular, integration between Harvard Dataverse and Code Ocean, a computational and reproducibility tool, is discussed in more detail.
